Job description
We are looking for a Cook with strong cooking skills to support our residential service in Hereford for 19 hours per week.
Our Ledbury Road accommodation is the long-term home for seven young adults with complex disabilities. We have a team of dedicated support and housekeeping staff and are looking for a Cook to join us. In this role you will be the sole Cook and will work in liaison with residents and the Ledbury Road team to plan and formulate healthy and nutritious menus within an agreed budget, ensuring high standards of hygiene and record keeping are maintained.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working in a similar role in an adult care setting and be familiar with food and environmental safety standards as well as all relevant Health and Safety procedures.
In addition, experience of supporting people with specialist dietary needs is desirable. The successful candidate will receive a comprehensive induction training with ongoing support and development.
