Job description
National Star’s housekeeping team has play a critical role in keeping young people with complex disabilities safe and well.
Working as part of the friendly Site Services and residential teams, our housekeepers/cleaners are instrumental in maintaining the cleanliness of their allocated areas, always following our infection control guidelines.
If you’re someone who has attention to detail and wants to feel valued in your important housekeeping role then apply today. Although you’ll be more than capable of working independently your role will bring you into contact with a range of people within the organisation, including students, residents and staff.
Key areas of responsibility include:
Following daily, weekly and termly checklists of cleaning duties, including periodic deep cleans to promote a high standard of cleanliness.
Cleaning student residences including bedrooms, bathrooms, toilets, kitchens/kitchenettes, windows and communal and staff areas
Ensuring accidental spillages and hazards are dealt with appropriately in line with health and safety policies
Ensuring soap and hand sanitiser dispensers are stocked and in good working order
Have a working knowledge of how to adhere to the safe handling of substances, adhering to COSSH procedures.
There is plenty of free parking on site at Ullenwood but don’t worry if you cannot drive or do not have access to a car. National Star runs a free staff minibus operating across Cheltenham and Gloucester.
