Job description

We are seeking a Lead Care and Support Worker to join one of our residences at Bradbury Gardens.

Working as part of the management team you will support the effective running of a residential area.

The role will include leading a team of facilitators to provide a high standard of individualised care and promoting and encouraging learners’ personal development.

You will need strong communication skills and the ability to work in partnership with the tutors and therapists as well as parents and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to individual learning.

Enthusiasm, professionalism and a strong work ethic is essential, as well as being able to demonstrate a positive attitude towards the aspirations of young people with disabilities. You will be a self-starter who can use your own initiative, be able to manage change and show resilience when things don’t go to plan.

We would expect you to have a strong background in working with people with learning and / or physical disabilities in either a care or education related role. A relevant Level 3 in Health and Social Care is essential. In return we offer excellent training and development opportunities and support for you to develop your long-term career with us.

The post requires shift work, with early shifts starting at 7am and late shifts ending at 10 and 11pm with alternate weekend working.
