About our learning programmes
National Star is an exciting and ‘Good’ (Ofsted 2023) independent specialist college for disabled students.
There is no such thing as a ‘typical’ National Star student. Most are between 16 and 25-years old and have a range of physical and learning disabilities. We offer full and part-time, residential and day courses for around 200 disabled students in Cheltenham, Hereford and Wales.
The diversity of all learners is what makes National Star a unique and vibrant place to learn.
We offer day courses across the UK – working in partnership with general further education colleges, schools and employers.
We will work with you to build an individual programme based on your interests, aspirations and requirements. Tutors, personal learning coordinators, care and support workers and therapy staff will work together to enable you to achieve your goals.
If your aim is to get a job or voluntary role after college we can support you with that too.
What we offer
We invest time in getting to know your ideas for the future so that we understand what you need to learn to get there. This starts from the day we meet you and your parents and carers for the first time.
We will create a flexible, creative and bespoke learning programme for you.
